FIELD TEST ENGINEER

Mobile Protocol Engineer/ Field Test engineer

Location:  Boston, Dallas, Irvine, New Jersey.

Update Feb 1 2024: Experienced engineers who are temporarily available for short term field test projects are highly demanded in Irvine, CA and Boston, MA areas.

Overview: 

  • Responsible for the verification and validation of latest test devices and software applications. 

  • Includes executing field test in a mobile or stationary LTE and CDMA and/or GSM environments.

  • Creates, extends, and executes automated test plans to verify Wireless Mobile operation. 

  • Use of logging tools and analyzing issue from logs, call failure and call drop analysis. 

  • Prepare test reports on readiness of software after analysis of test results (Pass/Failures). 

  • Report defects found during testing on the test management system and track defect status periodically. 

  • Analyze carrier requirement documents/3GPP specifications, develop test cases and create drive routes. 

  • Communicate effectively with other team members, developers in US and located around the globe. 

  • Assist seniors in preparation of weekly progress reports, performing work audit and device inventory tracking. 

  • Individual contributor representing the most common entry point for this career level. 

  • This role will contribute to the product development team.

Primary Skills: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering, computer science or related disciple.

  • 2-3 years of directly related experience is required. 

  • Prior experience in operating various testing tools and familiarity with testing procedures is a plus. 

  • Good communications skills and ability to work effectively with other team members. 

  • Work under minimum supervision and tight business deadlines. 

  • Availability to work overtime during weekdays, weekends and ready to travel whenever required.

Secondary Skills:

  • Automation Scripting, First level of Log Analysis Good communication skills with internal and external stakeholders for Client.

  • Educational Qualifications BE, B Tech, MS

RF ENGINEER

RF Engineer/ Field Test engineer

Location:  Boston, Dallas, Irvine, San Diego, Seattle

Overview:

  • Responsible for the verification and validation of latest test devices.

  • Includes executing field test in a mobile or stationary 5G NR and LTE.

  • Experienced in RF performance testing based on test plans from MNOs.

  • Trouble shoot on settings, scripts on device/Test equipment with failed test cases in LTE RCT/RRM tests Experienced with 4x4 MIMO, DL 256 QAM, UL64QAM, 4CA, LAA, OTDOA tests with test equipment. 

  • Understanding on the LTE physical layer parameters that impacts on the device's downlink/uplink throughput performance. 

  • Understanding on antenna, RF front end design architecture of mobile devices. 

  • Experienced with test of TIS/TRP of mobile phone.

  • Report defects found during testing on the test management system and track defect status periodically.

  • Analyze carrier requirement documents/3GPP specifications, develop test cases and create drive routes.

  • Communicate effectively with other team members, developers in US and located around the globe.

  • Assist seniors in preparation of weekly progress reports, performing work audit and device inventory tracking.
